| Confederation of Earth Founded: 2164 ADGovernment: DemocracyPopulation: 30 Billion(79% Human, 12% Android, 4.8% Alpha-Human, 2.2% Hybrid, 1.99% Mutant, 0.01% A.T.O.M.)
The COE was founded during the mid 22nd century, having dominion over the majority of the inner solar system. Following the fall of the United Nations of Earth, or (UNE) and the beginning of man-kinds exodus into space. With humanity united under one banner, they turned their eyes toward the universe. The final frontier which contained their ultimate destiny. By the end of the next century the human race had already spread out across the solar system and had just begun to take part in their first inter-stellar flight. However with just the Sub-light drive, travel within their own solar system was hard enough. Then it happened, in the year 2196(AD) a brilliant group of scientists and engineers gathered together to once and for all answer the problem of inter-stellar travel. The answer was the tunnel-drive which allowed the human race to expand across a region of roughly 100 light years. With the invention of the tunnel-drive man-kind endured a golden age of technological advancement. Within the next four centuries, they spread out across the stars. Millions of people took part in expeditions to worlds across the galaxy. Some sponsored by the COE, others privately funded. Unfortunately, it still took weeks to travel across stellar distances. Therefore the Confederation of Earth was unable to maintain control over the outer colonies. Thus resulting in the dozens of rogue corporate governments that now litter the systems surrounding Sol. Even though the human race has currently united together, the COE still can not maintain complete control of their new found allies, as much as they would like to.
